# Data Management ページにおける暗号化とマスキングの主な違いとは？

> MoEngage の Data Management における PII の暗号化とマスキングを比較します。各設定の切り替えがユーザー属性のプライバシーとデータへのアクセス性にどのように影響するかを説明します。

Data Management ページにおける暗号化とマスキングの主な違いは次のとおりです。

* Data Management ページでユーザー属性を編集すると、Edit User attribute ポップアップウィンドウが表示されます。**Data Privacy Configuration** で、マスキングと暗号化のオプションを確認できます。

* **Encrypt attribute** 設定をオンにすると、**Mask attribute** 設定が自動的に有効になります。**Mask attribute** をオフにすることはできません。
* **Encrypt attribute** 設定をオフにすると、**Mask attribute** 設定はデフォルトでオフになります。**Mask attribute** 設定は個別にオンまたはオフにできます。
* **Mask attribute** 設定のみをオンにした場合、データはマスキングされますが、暗号化はされません。
