MoEngage AI features fall into two groups. **Merlin AI** is the generative layer you interact with directly. Describe what you want in plain language and get campaign copy, banners, in-app templates, audience filters, flows, or personalization code back. **Intelligence features** are models that run inside your campaigns. They forecast what your users will do, then decide which message, channel, and time to use for each one. Campaign Insights Agent, Merlin AI Segment Assist, Custom Agents, and Campaign Decisioning are Early Access features. To enable them for your workspace, contact your MoEngage Customer Success Manager (CSM) or [raise a support ticket](/docs/user-guide/contact-support/raise-a-support-ticket-through-moengage-dashboard). ## What You Can Do ### Create with Merlin AI Generate push, email, in-app, and on-site copy that matches your brand tone, starting from a prompt or an existing draft. Turn a text description into a marketing banner, sized for email headers, social feeds, in-app popups, or push. Build responsive in-app templates from a prompt, including spin-the-wheel games, countdown timers, and survey forms. Type the audience you want in plain English and get the matching events and attribute filters. Describe a journey and get a flow on the canvas with triggers, channels, delays, and exit logic already selected. Describe the personalization rule you need and get working Jinja for your message. ### Predict, Decide, and Optimize Ask why a metric moved and get an answer grounded in your own workspace history rather than industry averages. Score users on how likely they are to purchase, go dormant, or uninstall, then target them by propensity bucket. Let Campaign Decisioning choose the message, channel, and timing for each user, and use a decision policy to rank which offers to display. Review RFM movements and AI-generated user clusters, then act on them as a campaign or a saved segment. Let MoEngage pick each user's delivery window, preferred channel, and trigger delay instead of a fixed setting. Split traffic across variations manually, or let Merlin AI shift traffic toward the winner while the campaign runs. ## Choose the Right Merlin AI Surface Several Merlin AI features overlap. Which one to use depends on where you are working and how much you want the AI to handle. * [Merlin AI Studio](/docs/user-guide/ai-and-intelligence/merlin-ai/merlin-ai-studio) is a standalone hub that opens from the top navigation bar. It hosts four single-purpose agents — Copywriter, Designer, Segmentation Assist, and Jinja Assist — plus a gallery of example prompts. Use it to generate an asset before you start building a campaign. * **In-context assistants** appear inside the editor you are already using. [Flows Assist](/docs/user-guide/ai-and-intelligence/merlin-ai/merlin-ai-flows-assist) works on the flows canvas, and the [In-App Template Generator](/docs/user-guide/ai-and-intelligence/merlin-ai/merlin-ai-in-app-template-generator/merlin-ai-in-app-template-generator) works while you build an in-app message. Use these when you are mid-campaign and do not want to switch pages. * [Custom Agents](/docs/user-guide/ai-and-intelligence/merlin-ai/custom-agents/custom-agents-overview) let you build a multi-step agent, assign it tools, and chain agents together so one delegates to others. Use this when a single-purpose generator is not enough. * [MoEngage MCP Server](/docs/user-guide/ai-and-intelligence/merlin-ai/moengage-mcp-server) brings MoEngage into an external AI client. Use it when you would rather work from your own AI tool than from the MoEngage dashboard. ## Where to Open Each Surface Most Merlin AI features appear inside the campaign or flow editor for the channel you are working in.
