# How Long Does It Take for an Edited OSM Campaign to Reach Users?

> Understand how long OSM campaign changes take to reach users, including payload-only edits and campaigns that target segments.

The time it takes for a change to reach users depends on what you edited. MoEngage delivers OSM campaign content to a user on their next meta call, the periodic request the SDK makes to fetch eligible campaigns.

## Payload-Only Edits

If you edit only the campaign payload, such as the content or template, without changing the segmentation, existing eligible users receive the updated payload on their next meta call, after approximately 10 minutes. This delay is the template cache expiry.

## Campaigns That Target Segments

If a user already matches the campaign's segment and their segment evaluation is current, they see the campaign on their next session, at the next meta call.

If the campaign targets a segment, segment membership refreshes on a cycle of up to 6 hours. Even if a user qualifies for the segment, they don't see the campaign until their membership is refreshed. The following table summarizes the expected timing:
