Several Merlin AI features overlap. Which one to use depends on where you are working and how much you want the AI to handle.- Merlin AI Studio is a standalone hub that opens from the top navigation bar. It hosts four single-purpose agents — Copywriter, Designer, Segmentation Assist, and Jinja Assist — plus a gallery of example prompts. Use it to generate an asset before you start building a campaign.
- In-context assistants appear inside the editor you are already using. Flows Assist works on the flows canvas, and the In-App Template Generator works while you build an in-app message. Use these when you are mid-campaign and do not want to switch pages.
- Custom Agents let you build a multi-step agent, assign it tools, and chain agents together so one delegates to others. Use this when a single-purpose generator is not enough.
- MoEngage MCP Server brings MoEngage into an external AI client. Use it when you would rather work from your own AI tool than from the MoEngage dashboard.
