It’s been more than a year now that MoEngage continues to prioritize employee wellbeing with measures to extend care and wellness initiatives to all team members – across the country and geographies. Having invested so much in the holistic wellness of our teams and a culture of care, we are doing our every bit in ensuring their safety. We have seen extremely difficult times in the second wave too-affecting a lot of us close to home and we have been dealing with the situation in our own ways. These times have made us embrace empathy. Everything that we do will be through a lens of care and support. Health, financial confidence, and job security being the top-rated concerns, whatever any organization does to treat its employees right now will have a lasting impact and will be remembered for years to come.

Here are some of the measures that MoEngage extends for this year:

Remote Work extension until the end of October 2021 enabling every one of us to stay safe while indoors, take care of our families and provide flexibility and location independence

Vaccination Support & Reimbursement: We continue to work with

  • Our health and wellness partner and enabled our folks to book vaccination slots in multiple locations in the country free of cost for 5 family members (including the team member)
  • A reimbursement model to enable people who get inoculated outside of our Health partner to still go ahead and get the cost reimbursed for 5 family members (including the team member)
  • Local authorities and hospital partners to arrange vaccinations for all team members in major cities

Tie-ups with medical partners to provide free video consultations — our team members get help from online consultations with doctors and get treated for COVID and other ailments virtually. This ensures all our team members have access to doctor consultations at all times.

Advance salary payments and Leave Encashments in order to keep up with medical expenses have been introduced for all our team members.

Paid recovery leaves: Employees who test positive for COVID are eligible to take up to 14 days of paid leave so that they can focus on their recovery.

Wellness leaves to help members recharge, focus on self-care and families and disconnect from work. A few other changes in our working ways include no-meeting Wednesdays and flexible meeting timelines.

Financial assistance for Home office set up for all provided to ease the efforts in setting up infrastructure for the home office

Employee Assistance Program with our Health partner to enable our team members to avail Health Coach, Nutritionist, General Physician consultation, discounts on health services and medicines, stress and burnout consultations, and a lot more!

Ex gratia payments: The family of any team member who succumbs to COVID-19 would be given ex-gratia payments equivalent to two years’ salary plus a voluntary contribution fundraised by our own team members

COVID Task Force and Support group formed internally to help our team members get hold of hospital beds, oxygen supplies, medicines, and other essentials in all cities during the peak times. They monitor response strategies to help our members and their families and friends during the pandemic

Wellness Engagements throughout the year through our wellness partners to engage our teams across geographies and encourage a healthier lifestyle during these difficult times – giving that much-needed break by getting them together for a Yoga or a Guided Meditation session, COVID awareness sessions, or even a Bollywood theme dance party to keep the morale high.

Our team members are our greatest assets and a culture of care certainly makes the difference in their lives. Maintaining consistent communication, effective change management, leaders leading from the front, daily check-ins, empathy, and flexibility gives us the edge while dealing with this crisis together. As we navigated through this pandemic and its transition, we realized the importance of health and wellness-mental and physical-now more than ever! A lot of what we did to care got acknowledged when we were recognized as one of the Top 25 Highest Rated Company to work for by Battery Ventures and Glassdoor last year.

If you are also looking to work for an organization that cares for you and your family, we are hiring!  Do check our open opportunities and let us know what you think.

As much as we all want to return to work, we won’t be doing that for the next half a year. So we promise to use this opportunity to create a culture of care and wellbeing where everyone can thrive – healthy and happy!
