Our Journey So Far

2014
Raviteja and Yashwanth founded MoEngage with a vision to be a trusted partner for marketers reimagining customer engagement in a digital-first, multi-channel world.
2015
Raised Series A funding from Helion Venture Partners and Exfinity Venture Partners. Launched a product enabling marketers to craft personalized experiences across push notifications, email, and SMS.
2016
Empowered marketers to utilize in-app messages as an additional channel for customer engagement, alongside email, SMS, and push notifications.
2017
Innovated a patented technology to improve push notification deliverability, helping marketers reach more customers.
2018
Launched Sherpa, an AI predictive engine that helps marketers identify the optimal message variant and sending time for each of their millions of consumers. Secured Series B funding from Matrix Venture Partners.
2019
MoEngage became the youngest player featured in The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Marketing Platforms, alongside legacy enterprise marketing automation vendors such as Salesforce and Oracle.
2020
Launched actionable customer analytics, enabling marketers to become more agile. Marketers can now gain deep customer understanding and instantly act on those insights by launching campaigns from a single dashboard. Raised Series C funding from Eight Roads Venture Partners.
2021
Expanded teams across the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia to meet the demands of a rapidly growing global customer base. Secured additional growth funding from Goldman Sachs, Steadview Capital, B-Capital, and Multiples Equity.
2022
Evolved into a scalable customer engagement platform trusted by enterprises to handle sophisticated use cases across all digital channels, including websites, mobile, SMS, email, social media, and messaging channels.
2023
Launched Merlin AI, a generative AI co-pilot for marketers. Migrated some of the largest global enterprise brands from legacy marketing clouds to MoEngage, helping them improve marketing velocity and time-to-value.
2024
Merlin and Sherpa AI became more powerful, assisting marketers in understanding and responding faster to rapidly evolving customer expectations.
2025
The migration to MoEngage accelerated, with over 50 enterprise brands transitioning from legacy marketing clouds, validating our vision to build the most trusted customer engagement platform for a digital-first world.
